Lisa Booker Melia is an experienced educator and business development specialist with a diverse professional background spanning education and consulting. Currently serving as a Spanish Educator and Program Development Manager at Fort Bend ISD since August 2021, Lisa has been instrumental in improving the Spanish Program at Thornton Middle School and analyzing student performance data. Prior experience includes roles as a Business Development Specialist at LB Booker Consulting, where Lisa enhanced profitability for clients, and as a Territory Sales Representative at Patterson Companies, Inc., achieving significant growth in new territories. Lisa's foundation in education includes previous positions at Fort Bend Independent School District, where leadership roles were undertaken, and earlier experience as a Senior Sales Professional at Kent DataCom/Kent Electronics. An alumna of The University of Texas at Austin, Lisa holds degrees in International Business/Latin American Studies and Spanish & Portuguese, along with post-bachelor credentials in Teaching & Curriculum.
