Frank Smigiel is an experienced arts professional with a strong background in programming, education, and curation. Currently serving as the Director of Arts Programming & Partnerships at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture since April 2018, Smigiel previously held key positions at notable institutions such as the San Francisco Art Institute, where Frank was Department Chair for Exhibition & Museum Studies, and at SFMOMA, where Smigiel worked as Associate Curator for Performance & Film and Public Programs. Additional experience includes roles at the Whitney Museum of American Art as Acting Director of Education and Assistant Director of Education at the Rosenbach Museum & Library.
