Mervyn Mapfumo

Mervyn joined FMFN in April 2012 as a Jr Accountant and increasingly developed and took on a number of positions within the finance dept. Over the years he progressed through different roles such as Project Accountant, and Manager of Accounting Operations, before becoming Director of Finance in July 2020. Originally from Zimbabwe, he completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at Siena Heights University in Benton Harbor, Michigan before relocating to Toronto. While in Toronto he worked in the manufacturing industry in the accounting department with Ashcity Worldwide (now called Alpha Broeder). Mervyn has lived in Fort McMurray since 2011 and continued to pursue his accounting designation online through CPA Ontario, he obtained his CPA, CMA designation in 2014.
