Wes Milam

Captain Wes Milam serves as the Support Services Division Commander within the Non-Uniform Bureau of the Fort Smith Police Department. His responsibilities include oversight of the 911 Communications Unit, Training Unit, Information Desk, Central Records, Quartermaster, Building Maintenance, and Animal Services. Capt. Milam is an 18-year veteran of the Fort Smith Police Department and has served in numerous roles including Emergency Management, Community Relations, Patrol Special Operations, Collision Reconstructionist, and Crisis Negotiator. Capt. Milam has a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock and serves as an adjunct professor of criminal justice at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith. He is currently working on his doctorate in Public Administration from Valdosta State University.
