Fort Wayne Children's Zoo
Kaitlyn Wiktor has extensive experience in animal care and behavioral management within zoological settings. Currently serving as the Behavior Management Coordinator at Fort Wayne Children's Zoo since September 2018, Kaitlyn has also held multiple roles at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo since May 2013, including Lead Elephant Keeper and Great Apes and Sea Lion Keeper, responsible for various animal collections and behavioral enrichment. Previous roles include a position as an Enrichment and Training Intern at The Toledo Zoo and seasonal positions focusing on avian care and animal husbandry. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Captive Wildlife Care and Education from Unity Environmental University and a Professional Development Certificate in Behavioral Husbandry from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

ABOUT THE ZOO Our Mission: Connecting kids and animals Strengthening families Inspiring people to care The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is northeast Indiana’s largest tourist attraction, hosting more than 600,000 guests annually. As an AZA-accredited zoo, we are a conservation leader, contributing annually to local, regional, and international efforts to protect wild animals and habitats. The Zoo cares for more than 1600 animals and participates in 63 cooperative species survival plans. As a self-supporting facility, the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo receives no tax dollars for operations. The Zoo’s operations are funded entirely by earned revenue and donations.
