Fort Wayne Children's Zoo
Sara Valentine has been serving as the Interpreter Team Leader at Fort Wayne Children's Zoo since March 2016, where responsibilities include leading and coordinating educational programs. Additionally, Sara has held the position of Adjunct Instructor at Ivy Tech Community College since 2011, contributing to the academic growth of students in a collegiate environment. Sara holds a Master of Science degree in Biology from Purdue University Fort Wayne, earned between 2005 and 2010.

ABOUT THE ZOO Our Mission: Connecting kids and animals Strengthening families Inspiring people to care The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is northeast Indiana’s largest tourist attraction, hosting more than 600,000 guests annually. As an AZA-accredited zoo, we are a conservation leader, contributing annually to local, regional, and international efforts to protect wild animals and habitats. The Zoo cares for more than 1600 animals and participates in 63 cooperative species survival plans. As a self-supporting facility, the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo receives no tax dollars for operations. The Zoo’s operations are funded entirely by earned revenue and donations.
