Ashley Bales currently serves as the Herbarium Collections Manager and Digitization Coordinator at Fort Worth Botanic Garden and the Botanical Research Institute of Texas since October 2017, where responsibilities include leading digitization efforts for the collaborative project "American Crossroads: Digitizing the Vascular Flora of the South-Central United States." Prior experience includes a role as Herbarium Assistant and Research Assistant at The University of Alabama Herbarium from February to May 2017. Ashley Bales holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The University of Alabama (2012-2017) and completed a Graduate Non-Degree Certificate Program in Geographic Information Systems and Technology at Texas Tech University (2020-2022).
