John Kårikstad

John Kårikstad has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. John started their career as a Gründr, Development Manager, and Developer at eFactory AS, where they established the company and provided web and programming courses. John joined Sem & Stenersen Prokom AS as a Development Manager, leading the development of electronic forms and self-service solutions. John then became the Department Manager for Portal and .NET, building a new business unit.

Later, they worked at Making Waves as the .NET Department Manager and then as the CTO, overseeing a technology unit with 140 consultants handling various projects. John specialized in frontend technologies, mobile app development, CMS, and e-commerce integration, custom service platforms, search and collaboration solutions, and developing tailored applications for clients.

After that, they worked at Fetch AS as a CTO, providing management services for hire, focusing on leveraging technology to improve the transportation sector.

In 2017, they founded Forte Digital, an international consultancy where they currently serve as the CEO and Senior Advisor. The company has offices in multiple locations and specializes in utilizing data to create relevant digital services for clients, increase conversions, and generate more traffic.

Recently, in 2022, they also took on the role of Chairman of the Board at Forte Advice.

Throughout their career, John has demonstrated expertise in technology, leadership, and business development, making him a valuable asset in the digital consulting industry.

John Kårikstad's education history includes completing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2000 to 2004. During this time, they studied subjects such as Informatics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2000, John pursued foundation courses in Chemistry at the University of Agder (UiA), where they also studied Informatics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
