Raul MacArie

Raul Macarie has a diverse range of work experience spanning over 18 years. Raul currently works for Fortech as a Software Architect/Engineering Manager, where they lead and shapes software engineering efforts and designs and implements complex architectures using technologies such as NodeJs, Kafka, TypeScript, and React. Raul also acts as a technical mentor to junior to senior developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Prior to Fortech, Raul worked at Yopeso as a Staff Engineer/Technical Lead, where they managed a significant React Native project with a Python backend, creating and optimizing the project workflow and providing mentorship to junior engineers.

Before Yopeso, Raul worked at hitta.se as a Senior Software Engineer, leading a website refactoring project to enhance performance and user experience. Raul transitioned the tech stack and employed technologies like TypeScript, Express, and Next.

Raul's earlier experience includes working as a Software Engineer at Softvision and ke Solutions, Inc., a Phone Expert at France Telecom, and as the Founder/Software Engineer at Higher Grounds.

Raul also has experience as a Computer Repair and Maintenance Technician at PC NET Service SRL and Pentium SRL.

Raul Macarie obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Universitatea "Spiru Haret" din Bucuresti. Raul attended the university from 2004 to 2008. In addition, they acquired certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in June 2017.
