Magnus Skonberg

Magnus Skonberg has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Magnus started their career in 2014 as an Engineering Apprentice at American Modular Power Solutions, where they reviewed drawings, researched projects, prepared bid packages, and performed financial reporting. In 2014, they also worked as a Staff Project Engineer at PSEG, where they planned utility work, prepared outage contingency plans, and managed inspections and maintenance programs.

In 2016, Magnus ventured into self-publishing as an Author at Kindle, where they released four digital books but eventually decided to return to a more formal work arrangement. Magnus then joined American Modular Power Solutions as a Project Manager in 2016 and managed the EP&C of seven solar substation projects.

In 2020, Magnus worked as a Product Owner at Thorgate, a digital product development agency, where their responsibilities included task creation, user story development, and collaboration with clients and team members. Magnus also worked as an Analytics Consultant at an undisclosed company, utilizing their data science skills to deliver data-driven solutions to clients.

In 2021, Magnus joined Booster as a Data Analyst and later promoted to Senior Data Analyst. Magnus achieved significant accomplishments such as slashing the cost of service by 40% and doubling stakeholder engagement by leading a team of data analysts in simplifying self-serve reporting.

Most recently, Magnus started working at Fortegra in 2023 as a Senior Data Analyst. The details about this role are yet to be provided.

Magnus Skonberg obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from McGill University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Magnus then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science at the CUNY School of Professional Studies from 2020 to 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Magnus has also obtained various certifications. Magnus completed a course titled "15 days of Power BI - Complete Microsoft Power BI Bootcamp" at Udemy in April 2023. In March 2023, they completed "15 Days of SQL: The Complete SQL Masterclass 2023" and "Microsoft Excel - Excel from Beginner to Advanced 2023," also at Udemy. Magnus achieved a certificate in "Data Analyst with Python" from DataCamp in May 2022. Prior to that, they obtained certificates in "Discrete Math and Analyzing Social Graphs" and "Foundations of Data Science: K-Means Clustering in Python" from Coursera Course Certificates in July 2020.
