Gilad Peleg

Director Of Software Engineering at Forter

Gilad Peleg has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Gilad started their career as an Intelligence Analyst in the Israeli Air Force from 2002 to 2008. Later, Peleg worked at Final as a Trading Algorithms Operator, providing support and QA for realtime HFT applications. Gilad also created automation scripts using Python and VBA and trained new recruits in the trade room.

Peleg then joined Appstr.io as a Full Stack Web Developer from 2013 to 2014. In this role, they had end-to-end ownership of a large web application and was responsible for maintaining and optimizing a large MongoDB. Gilad also built dashboards and admin dashboards.

From 2014 to 2019, Peleg worked at BlazeMeter, where they held several roles. Gilad started as a Full Stack Web Developer and then became a Front End Team Leader, leading and managing front-end developers. Later, they transitioned to the role of Software Engineering Manager, where they provided technical leadership and architecture for the company's front-end application. Gilad also served as a Scrum Master of a full-stack product team and trained development teams to be high-performing.

Currently, Peleg works at Forter as the Director of Software Engineering since February 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Software Engineering Manager from 2019 to 2021. In this role, Peleg led the core decision engineering team, responsible for real-time, low-latency fraud decision systems. Their team handled distributed systems that made critical identity/fraud related decisions for a diverse portfolio of merchants.

Gilad Peleg completed their education at two prestigious universities. From 2016 to 2019, they pursued a Master's Degree in Statistics at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2012, Gilad earned their Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Business Management from Tel Aviv University. Additionally, in February 2017, they obtained certification as a Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance.
