Dominic Akwuzie

Dominic Akwuzie is an experienced electrical project specialist currently employed at Fortescue since February 2023. Previously, Dominic served as the Lead Project Engineer for Rio Tinto, focusing on sustaining capital projects related to rail. Prior roles include Project Engineer at GOLD FIELDS, where oversight was provided for electrical projects at the Granny Smith Mine, and Electrical Engineer at MPC Kinetic, working on the Santos GLNG CSG Project. Additionally, Dominic held the position of Project Engineer at Quanta Services, Inc., managing major transmission and renewable energy projects in Queensland and New South Wales. Earlier experience at BHP involved underground service personnel responsibilities, where compliance with safety policies and equipment management was crucial. Dominic holds a Master's degree in Electrical Utility Engineering from Curtin University and a Graduate Diploma in Energy Studies from Murdoch University.
