Hussein Khalifa has over 30 years of experience in capital formation and investing in the alternative assets space. Hussein is currently the Managing Director and Global Head of Capital Formation at Fortescue, focusing on decarbonisation and energy transition investments. Prior to this, they worked as a Founding Partner at MVision Private Equity Advisers from 2001 to 2023, and as the Chief Executive at Archstone Capital from 1997 to 2001. Throughout their career, Hussein has been instrumental in raising billions of dollars from institutional investors and has helped build and grow successful private equity firms.

Hussein Khalifa has a Bachelor's degree in International Politics & Economics, with a focus on Chinese, from Middlebury College, which was obtained from 1983 to 1987. In 1986, they also received a Certificate of Advanced Study in Chinese from Peking University. In 1991, they studied Corporate Finance at London Business School. Additionally, Hussein Khalifa attended Georgetown University in 2009, where they obtained a GLS '09 degree. Hussein also holds certifications as a Certified Sake Professional from the Sake Education Council (obtained in 2015) and as a General Securities Principal and General Securities Representative from FINRA. Hussein Khalifa attended St. Paul's School from 1978 to 1982, but no specific degree or field of study was provided.
