Direct Air Capture Technology Lead at Fortescue Metals

Jeffrey Drese has a diverse work experience, starting in 1999 as a Laboratory Technician at Dynamac Corp. Jeffrey then worked as an Associate Research Engineer at the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement from 2005 to 2006. Drese joined Phillips 66 in 2010 and held various roles, including Senior Engineer, Team Lead of Advanced Materials, Director of Batteries, Director of Midstream Support, Director of Carbon Mitigation, and most recently, Director of Asset Innovation. Jeffrey is currently employed as the Direct Air Capture Technology Lead at Fortescue Future Industries since 2023. Throughout their career, Drese has been involved in research, directed energy storage and gas separation technology studies, and supervised teams of Ph.D. researchers.

Jeffrey Drese obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida in the years 2000 to 2004. Jeffrey then pursued their doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2010.
