Mason Jahromi

Mason Jahromi is a Senior Power Systems Engineer and Modelling Specialist at Fortescue since September 2021, specializing in power systems modelling with tools such as DigSilent PowerFactory, PSCAD, and ETAP. Concurrently, Mason serves as Principal Engineer at S5 System, focusing on on-site power systems, distributed energy resources, and electrification, utilizing AutoCAD and C++. Previously, Mason worked as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Calibre, where responsibilities included power systems modelling for the Rio-Tinto Robe Valley Sustaining Project. Mason has also contributed to academia as a Sessional Lecturer at Murdoch University and The University of Western Australia, teaching subjects related to electrical machines and power systems. Mason earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Power Engineering from the University of Newcastle and holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology.
