Daniel Edwards

Daniel Edwards has a comprehensive work experience history starting as an Analyst Intern at Sainsbury's, where they developed dashboards and delivered insights to various stakeholder groups. Daniel also automated daily financial performance reports during this role.

Following their internship, they joined McDonald's as a Crew Member and eventually became a Crew Trainer. During their time at McDonald's, they developed skills in training and managing a team.

After McDonald's, Daniel joined NatWest Group as a Graduate Trainee in Technology, where they gained experience in data engineering. Daniel then transitioned to a role as a Data Engineer, where they continued to develop their skills in data management.

Most recently, Daniel worked at People's Postcode Lottery as a Data Engineer, where they developed an enterprise data warehouse, transformed data using Matillion ETL, and supported stakeholders in using the data warehouse for strategic decision-making.

Currently, Daniel is a Senior Data Engineer at Forth Point | A Blend360 Company, where they are utilizing their expertise to contribute to the company's data engineering efforts.

Daniel Edwards pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 2008 to 2015, they attended Sandbach School, where they completed their A-Levels, BTEC Level 3, and GCSE.

Following this, from 2015 to 2019, Daniel enrolled at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics and its Applications with a Professional Placement.

In addition to their formal education, Daniel also acquired various certifications. In 2017, they obtained the SAS Programming 1: Essentials and SAS Programming 2: Data Manipulation Techniques certifications from SAS. In 2018, they earned the Licentiateship (LCGI) (Personal and Professional Skills Development) from City & Guilds. In 2020, they completed the Data Engineering program from Udacity and obtained the edX Verified Certificate for CS50's Introduction to Computer Science. Daniel also acquired the CS50x certification from CS50 in the same year. In 2021, Daniel became a Neo4j Certified Professional from Neo4j.

It is important to note that Daniel obtained the Academy Accreditation - Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals certification from Databricks in March 2023, which indicates their plans for professional development in the future.
