Tim Thaxton

Tim Thaxton is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in infrastructure management and technology leadership. Currently serving as the Director of IT Infrastructure at Fortis Solutions Group since July 2016, Tim is responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and connectivity of the organization’s computer systems and network infrastructure. Prior roles include Vice President of Information Technology at S.B. Ballard Construction Co., where Tim provided strategic technology vision, and Network Manager at Earl Industries, focusing on the stability of IT assets. Additional experience encompasses network administration and technical support roles in various organizations, including Virginia Beach City Public Schools, EDO/AERA Professional Division, and the U.S. Army, where Tim managed critical operations and assets. Tim holds a Master's Degree in Information Technology from Virginia Tech and a BBA in Computer Information Systems from Campbell University, along with several professional certifications in technology and systems engineering.
