James Wellman has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. James currently holds the position of Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Nathan Littauer Hospital & Nursing Home since August 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a CIO Senior Partner at Fortium Partners, the world's largest provider of technology leadership.

Before joining Fortium Partners, James served as a CIO/CTO at JPW Healthcare IT Consulting from January 2023 to June 2023. James'sprevious role was as the Chief Digital & Information Officer at Blanchard Valley Health System from July 2019 to January 2023.

Prior to their work in the healthcare sector, James worked as a CIO - Administrator at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, where they also held additional administrative responsibilities as Chief Compliance Officer, HIPAA Privacy Officer, and more. James was with the hospital from November 2010 to July 2019.

James also worked as an IT Site Director at McKesson Provider Technologies from November 2010 to March 2014. Before that, they held various roles at University of Kentucky HealthCare, starting as a Computer Support Lead in September 1989 and rising to the position of Senior Technology Manager. At the university, they managed the enterprise infrastructure and technology, developed and implemented computer support and helpdesk systems, and played a key role in the migration of systems.
