Matthijs de Laat

Matthijs de Laat currently serves as a bestuurslid at Stichting Federatief Carnaval Bokkendonk since May 2024, focusing on fostering connections between clubs, entrepreneurs, and the community to ensure the continued celebration of carnaval in Bokkendonk. At FORTNA, Matthijs holds multiple roles, including President and chair of the works council since April 2019, advocating for colleagues in negotiations regarding career frameworks and organizational matters, and previously worked as a sales engineer. Prior professional experience includes a position as a sales engineer at SNL from October 2010 to April 2019, where Matthijs facilitated practical engineering solutions, and a decade at Mettler-Toledo product inspection / Safeline / Gelan from 1998 to 2009, progressing from assembly to project management and procurement for customized metal detection systems. Matthijs' educational background includes project management and mechanical engineering studies at Pbna, completed in 2001, and foundational studies at Koning Willem 1 college and the Agrarische Hogeschool 's-Hertogenbosch.
