Frank Calma

Frank Calma is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend development and software testing. Currently serving as a Senior Backend Engineer at Forto since June 2022, Frank manages the public API and custom data integrations for the integrations team. Previous roles include Software Development Engineer In Test at Heyflow and Fossil Fuel Registry, where Frank focused on creating test plans and automation for web applications and websites. Frank contributed significantly as a Backend Developer at SoundCloud, facilitating the transition to gRPC-based services and leading the development of a user preference system. Additional experience spans positions at REI, AT&T, Microsoft, and Disney, where Frank developed automated test frameworks and conducted performance testing. Frank holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from Case Western Reserve University, earned in 2006.
