Christiaan Buitendach

Christiaan Buitendach serves as the Head of Technology Services, Delivery and Execution at Fortrea since September 2023. Prior to this role, Christiaan held the position of Vice President of Global Technology Operations and Information Security at Science 37 from January to September 2023, where responsibilities included developing a comprehensive technology strategy to support clinical trial operations. At Javara from December 2021 to January 2023, Christiaan was the Senior Director and Head of Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Data, and Analytics, focusing on enhancing patient access to clinical trials. Christiaan's tenure at IQVIA spanned from 2005 to 2021, where the roles included Senior Director of IT for Biotechnology and FSP Business Units, Director of IT for Global End User Computing and Digital Workplace Services, and Associate Director of IT for the Sub-Saharan Africa Region, managing extensive technology solutions and operations. Christiaan began a career in software product management at PC Palace from 1997 to 2005. Christiaan holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Pretoria, earned between 1998 and 2003.
