Wayne Akers

Wayne Akers is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in clinical business strategy and operations. Currently serving as Vice President of Clinical Business Strategy and Operations at Fortrea since June 2023, Wayne has previously held significant roles at Labcorp, including Executive Director FSP, Growth Strategy, and Executive Director, Department Head, Project Management. Prior to that, Wayne spent over a decade at Covance as Senior Director of Inflammation, Infectious Disease, and General Medicine, along with serving as Project Director. Wayne holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Belmont University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
