Wayne Akers

Wayne Akers is an experienced professional in clinical business strategy and operations, currently serving as Vice President at Fortrea since June 2023 and previously held the role of Executive Director for FSP and Growth Strategy. Prior to Fortrea, Wayne worked at Labcorp Drug Development from January 2019 to July 2023 as Executive Director and Department Head of Project Management. Wayne's career began at Covance, where expertise was demonstrated as Senior Director in Inflammation, Infectious Disease, and General Medicine, and Project Director from March 2005 to December 2018. Wayne Akers holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Belmont University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
