Dan Reid

Dan Reid is a seasoned electrical designer and project manager with extensive experience in the engineering and energy sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Electrical Designer at Fortress Engineering Ltd. since February 2019, Dan oversees electrical design and construction activities on a two-week rotation assignment as a Client Representative in Midland, Texas. With prior roles including Project Manager/Sr. Technical Specialist at Base Concepts Inc., and Lead Electrical Projects at Toyo Engineering Canada Ltd., Dan has led significant electrical projects, including a 15MW processing pilot plant. Additional experience includes leadership positions at Spectra Energy and SNC Engineering, managing multi-million dollar projects and guiding teams through engineering, procurement, and construction phases. Dan’s career began at TransCanada Pipelines, where a foundation in electrical design was established, complemented by an education in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
