Yunyoung Shin has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different companies. Yunyoung served as the Chief Accounting Officer at New Fortress Energy since 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Fortress Investment Group as the SVP Fortress Private Equity, where they established and led the transaction advisory team and performed transitional CFO or CAO roles in various industries. Yunyoung also held positions at American Express as the Vice President of the Technical Accounting Group, and at KPMG LLP as a Senior Manager in the Department of Professional Practice. In their role at KPMG, they advised professionals, participated in regulatory processes, and authored publications. Yunyoung also managed key accounts and served as lead engagement manager on bankruptcy proceedings in the energy industry. Yunyoung Shin's work experience demonstrates their expertise in accounting, finance, and strategic advisory roles.

Yunyoung Shin completed an Executive MBA from Goizueta Business School, Emory University in 2009. In 2001, Shin obtained a Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business, majoring in Accounting. Prior to that, in 2000, Shin earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting and Finance from the University of Tennessee.
