Ali Alavi is an experienced design engineer with a robust background in signal processing, embedded systems, and FPGA design. Currently at Fortress Technology Inc. since September 2018, Ali focuses on developing novel signal generation and detection schemes for advanced industrial metal detectors. Previous roles include embedded algorithm development at Analog Devices, where responsibilities involved adaptive calibration for 5G transceiver technology, and significant contributions as a DSP engineer and FPGA design engineer at Fortress Technology and Colibri Technologies, respectively. Ali's early career included positions at Advanced Micro Devices and Vecima Networks, emphasizing ASIC engineering and leading FPGA development teams. Ali holds a Master’s Degree in Signal Processing and Wireless Communications from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics from Sharif University of Technology.
