Greyson Gilbert has worked in various roles in the IT field since 2009. In 2009, they began as an Information Technology Specialist for the United States Army Reserve. In 2015, they joined Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company as a Systems Administrator-Mid, where they resolved Windows incident tickets for 4,000+ customers using Remedy, installed system-wide software installations through remote access, performed server maintenance through remote software, and managed large, complex environments with hundreds of servers across multiple datacenters on Marine bases throughout the country. In 2018, Greyson joined the Rivera Group as a Senior Network Specialist, where they conducted STIG analysis using Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and STIG viewer, ran ACAS/Nessus scans to validate security benchmark and policy compliance in accordance to DISA standards, ensured networks and systems being developed implement DoD baseline IA Controls, provided advice and insight into the overall management and evaluation of the system security posture, performed audits, patching, updating systems and scans in a live environment, and uploaded, applied, and analyzed Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Bulletins (IAVBs). Greyson currently works as a Security Consultant for Fortreum, beginning in 2021.
Greyson Gilbert completed a Master of Science (MS) in Homeland Security with Cyber Security from Trident University International in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2015. Greyson also holds certifications in CISSP (obtained in February 2018 from (ISC)\u00b2) and Security+ (obtained in July 2015 from CompTIA).
