Mikael Lemström

Mikael Lemström serves as the Executive Vice President of Hydro Generation at Fortum, leading the management of over 200 hydro power plants and overseeing co-owned nuclear power plant shareholdings. With extensive experience in various Vice President roles, Mikael has been responsible for Heating and Cooling operations across multiple countries, district heating networks, and sales within Fortum. Previous positions include General Manager for Fortum in Thailand and Manager of Business Development with a focus on Asia and Europe. In addition to roles at Fortum, Mikael holds board memberships with Kemijoki Oy, Forsmarks Kraftgrupp AB, Voimaosakeyhtiö SF, and Savosolar Oyj. Mikael’s academic background includes a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and Physics from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, complemented by studies in Finance at Hanken School of Economics.
