Minna Hanski

Minna Hanski is a seasoned professional in water resource management and environmental policy, currently serving as the Manager of Environmental Policy at Fortum since January 2022, focusing on hydropower-related legislation and regulation processes in Europe and Finland. Prior experience includes managerial and technology roles at Alva-yhtiöt Oy, where significant contributions were made to technology development and product management. Prior to that, a long tenure at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry involved senior advisory positions, emphasizing water resources management, flood risk management, and international cooperation. Additional roles included senior adviser positions at ELY-keskus and the Finnish Environment Institute, with a foundational background as a Development Engineer. Minna Hanski holds a Master of Science in Water Resources Engineering from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan and has further education from the State Hydro-meteorological Institute of the Russian Federation.
