Michael Burns

Michael Burns is a seasoned professional in the field of processing management, currently serving as the Processing Manager at Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. since May 2023, where responsibilities include overseeing the start-up of a SAG Gravity CIL Gold Plant. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Processing Manager at Agnico Eagle Mines Limited from May 2020 to July 2022. Earlier experience includes serving as Process Manager at Kirkland Lake Gold (KL) from March 2019 to May 2020. Michael holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Extractive Metallurgy from the Western Australian School of Mines, completed between 1986 and 1992.
