Michelle Baxter

Michelle Baxter has over 20 years of experience in tax planning and law. Michelle began their career as an Attorney for the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C. In 2005, they joined E & Y as an Attorney in the Transaction Advisory Services Group. From 2006 to 2010, they worked as a Tax Attorney at Freeborn & Peters LLP. Michelle then transitioned to The Hearst Corporation, where they served as a Tax Counsel from 2010 to 2014. Currently, they hold senior leadership roles at Fortune Brands Home & Security, including Director of Tax Planning & International Tax and Senior Director of Tax Planning & Audit Controversy.

Michelle Baxter obtained their B.A. degree from Augustana College in 1995. Michelle went on to attend DePaul University College of Law, graduating with a J.D. degree in 2001. Later, they pursued an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, completing their degree in 2006.
