Clay Chandler

Clay Chandler is an accomplished journalist and editor with extensive experience in business and economic reporting across major global publications. Currently serving as Executive Editor for Asia at Fortune Magazine since April 2019, Chandler previously held the role of Executive Director and Editor for International Time Inc. Brands at Meredith Corporation. Chandler's editorial career encompasses leadership positions at Time Inc., The Barrenrock Group, and McKinsey & Company, where significant contributions to global editorial initiatives and thought leadership projects were made. Earlier, Chandler worked at The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal, focusing on economic and industry coverage in Asia. Chandler holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government and East Asian Studies and pursued a PhD in Government at Harvard University.
