Thai On

Thai On has a diverse range of work experience. They have worked as a Software Engineer at Forum Systems since June 2022. Prior to that, Thai worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from September 2019 to January 2023, where they conducted research tasks and attended lab meetings on computing for social good and human-computer interaction. Thai also served as an Undergraduate Course Assistant at the university from January 2020 to May 2022. They have had intern roles at PTC as a ThingWorx Navigate Intern from June 2021 to August 2021, at Finnhub as a Software Engineer Intern from July 2020 to January 2021, and at Viet Systems as a Deployment Intern from June 2019 to August 2019. Additionally, Thai has experience as the Head of Sponsor Relations at Ha Ve Le Hong Phong, where they successfully gathered funds for a big concert event and maintained relationships with sponsors from June 2018 to August 2019. They also served as a Course Developer at Amherst Regional High School from February 2019 to May 2019, assisting students in learning computer programming. Lastly, Thai held the position of Head of Sponsor Relations at the VietAbroader Club HCM at VietAbroader Organization from August 2017 to May 2018. Overall, Thai On has a well-rounded background in software engineering, research, teaching, and event management.

Thai On has a diverse education history. They attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2018 to 2022, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer and Information Sciences. During the same period, they also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the same university, with a focus on User Experience Research through their individual concentration. Before their time at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Thai On completed their high school education at Le Hong Phong High School For The Gifted in HCMC, Vietnam, from 2015 to 2018. In addition to their academic achievements, Thai On has obtained several certifications, including "Design Thinking: The Beginner's Guide," "User Experience: The Beginner's Guide," and a Membership Certificate, from The Interaction Design Foundation in 2020.
