Marc Aurel Schnabel

Marc Aurel Schnabel serves as the Dean at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University and Director of the CIC FORUM8 Lab at FORUM8 International, focusing on digital design and emerging virtual reality technologies. As the founder and head of DARA (Digital Architecture Research Alliance), Marc advances the realms of spatial design and digital architecture. In addition, Marc holds significant roles in CAADRIA, where past leadership includes serving as President, and engages with World16 and the Autodesk Industry Advisory Board in VR and technology exchange initiatives. Previous leadership at Victoria University of Wellington includes Dean and Chair Professor of Architectural Technologies, emphasizing expertise in computational architecture and digital media. Marc's academic journey is supported by extensive educational credentials, including a PhD in Architecture from the University of Hong Kong and a Master's in Education from the University of Sydney.
