Marie-Louise Gourlay

Marie-Louise Gourlay is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and strategic management within philanthropic and educational sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director for Europe at Forward Global, previously known as the Philanthropy Workshop, Marie-Louise has focused on improving strategic philanthropy education and networking. Prior roles include Head of the CFO's Office at the British Council, where Marie-Louise managed a £50m budget and facilitated internal communications, and Freelance Writer & Editor for Global Lingo, providing editing services for diverse clients. Additionally, Marie-Louise held various roles in non-profit organizations, including Grants Manager at Friends of Seva Mandir UK and Interim Country Director at African Revival, showcasing a strong background in project management and donor relations. Marie-Louise holds a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages from the University of Bath.
