Connor McDonald

Connor McDonald has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Connor worked as a Cadet Intern and then as a Freshman Cadet Engineer for Alaska Marine Highway System and Freshman Cruise respectively in 2013. In 2014, they continued their cadetship as a Cadet Intern for Calhoon MEBA Engineering School. In 2016, they served as a Senior Cadet Engineer for Senior Cruise. In 2017, they worked as a 3rd Assistant Engineer for NOAA Ship Fairweather and later as a Chief Engineer for Foss Maritime Company.

Connor McDonald attended California State University Maritime Academy from 2012 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications in April 2017, including a Universal Technician certification from the Refrigeration Environmental Protection Association, a Designated Duty Engineer Unlimited Motor Vessels certification from the U.S. Coast Guard, and a Third Assistant Engineer Unlimited License from the United States Coast Guard.
