Shelly Yang

Shelly Yang is an accomplished visual storyteller with extensive experience in video production and journalism. Currently serving as the Development Videographer at FosterAdopt Connect since November 2021, Shelly has produced over 100 engaging videos to advance the organization's mission and successfully managed its YouTube channel, building a subscriber base of over 200 and featuring 120 videos. Prior to this role, Shelly worked as a Video Photojournalist for The Kansas City Star, where significant contributions included leading visual productions for award-winning projects. Additional experience spans roles at various esteemed organizations, such as The Day, Star Tribune, and Newsy.com, coupled with a solid educational foundation in broadcast journalism and photojournalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor's degree from Xiamen University.
