Mike Michael Gilliland has a diverse work experience spanning over four decades. Mike began their career in 1981 as a Manager of Human Resources at Johns Manville. Mike then moved on to Avery Dennison in 1987, where they served as a Director of Human Resources, providing support on core HR systems and processes. In 1998, they joined ARC as the Vice President of HR & OD, leading cultural change initiatives and transforming the organization into a customer-focused business. In 2012, Mike founded Gilliland HR Consulting, where they worked as a Principal Consultant, assisting organizations in various sectors with HR matters. Mike later joined Foster Fuels, Inc. in 2016 as the Human Resources Director, and eventually became the Vice President of Human Resources. In 2023, Mike retired and started working as a Retired Advisor/Consultant. Throughout their career, their expertise lies in areas such as employee relations, conflict resolution, compensation and benefits, organizational change initiatives, and employee engagement.
Mike Michael Gilliland earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Lynchburg.
