Gabriel Costache

Gabriel Costache is currently the Vice President of Machine Learning at FotoNation, focusing on ultra-low power embedded hardware accelerated Edge-AI solutions. From 2008 to 2024, they served in various roles, including Imaging Researcher, Project Manager, and Director at Xperi Corporation, with a primary emphasis on face recognition and face modeling. Gabriel earned a PhD from the National University of Ireland, Galway, between 2004 and 2007 and completed their undergraduate studies at Universitatea „Politehnica” din București from 1998 to 2003.
