Charlie Grover has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Charlie began their career in 2002 as an Associate at Mallesons Stephen Jaques and later joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as a Senior Associate. In 2007, they became an Attorney at Jones Day before moving on to Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP as an Attorney in 2008.
In 2011, Charlie became a Counsel at Allen & Overy, where they specialized in advising and negotiating a wide range of agreements in the Projects, Energy, and Infrastructure sectors. Charlie later joined Canadian Solar Inc. in 2015 as Legal Counsel for the Global Projects Business.
Charlie then transitioned to PwC Australia in 2016, initially serving as a Director and later as a Partner. During their time at PwC, they played a crucial role in providing expert legal advice and guidance to clients.
Most recently, Charlie joined Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) in 2019 as the Chief Legal Officer / General Counsel for FRV Australia. In this role, they are responsible for all legal advice, negotiations, and legal sign-off for various projects and acquisitions. Charlie has achieved several significant milestones, including financial closings, refinancings, and acquisitions of numerous renewable and battery energy storage system projects.
Throughout their career, Charlie has demonstrated strong leadership, expertise in legal matters, and a proven track record of successfully guiding organizations through complex legal challenges.
Charlie Grover completed their high school education at Christ Church Grammar School from 1989 to 1995. Afterward, from 1996 to 2001, they attended The University of Western Australia and obtained a Bachelor of Law, Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialization in Law. In the same period, from 2000 to 2001, they also studied at The University of British Columbia and earned an LLB degree in Law.
Charlie pursued further legal education at The College of Law Australia in 2002, where they completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Additionally, they attended Colllege of Laws in the same year, obtaining a Grad Dip in Legal Practice.
Charlie Grover has obtained several certifications, including the NSW Practising Certificate from The Law Society of NSW in July 2022, the Victorian Practising Certificate from the Victorian Legal Services Board in July 2019, and the UK Practising Certificate from the Solicitors Regulation Authority in October 2022.
