James Wallner

James Wallner is a highly experienced academic and political professional currently serving as a Senior Fellow at the Foundation for American Innovation and a Lecturer at Clemson University. Wallner has held significant positions including Chairman at Fly Fishers International and Professorial Lecturer at American University while also serving as a Senior Fellow at the R Street Institute and a Kluge Fellow at the Library of Congress. With extensive experience in legislative roles, Wallner spent nearly a decade in the United States Senate, culminating in the position of Executive Director for the Senate Steering Committee. Wallner's educational credentials include a PhD and an MA in Politics from The Catholic University of America, as well as two Master of Science degrees in International and European Politics from The University of Edinburgh.
