Noubar Afeyan is a prominent entrepreneur and biotechnology leader, serving as the Founder and CEO of Flagship Pioneering since 2000, where the company has created over 100 scientific ventures with a cumulative value exceeding $90 billion. In addition to this role, Afeyan is a member of the Executive Committee of the MIT Corporation and holds co-founder and leadership positions at several companies, including Moderna Therapeutics, Generate Biomedicines, Tessera Therapeutics, and Apriori Bio. Afeyan also co-founded the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity, which honors individuals and organizations making significant humanitarian contributions. Afeyan earned a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from MIT and a BS in Chemical Engineering from McGill University.
