Eric Orosco

Senior Communications Specialist at FOUNDATION FOR CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY COLLEGES

Eric Orosco is a communications professional with a diverse range of experience. Eric is currently working as a Senior Communications Specialist at the Foundation for California Community Colleges. Prior to this, they were a Digital Communications Specialist at California State University, Monterey Bay, where they developed and executed email marketing campaigns and managed the university's website.

Eric also worked at the University of the Pacific in multiple roles, including University Social Media Specialist, where they managed the university's social media accounts and delivered high-quality content to engage followers. Eric also worked as a Copywriter, assisting in forming a new marketing department and increasing student enrollment.

In addition, Eric has experience as a Marketing Coordinator, producing an annual alumni and donor magazine and facilitating a website transition. Before their time at the University of the Pacific, they founded and served as the Creative Director of Levee Magazine, a literary magazine that published six issues.

Earlier in their career, Eric worked as a Group Sales Manager at Sacramento Theatre Company and as a Box Office Manager at SPARC. Eric also had roles at the University of the Pacific as a Creative Specialist and Photography Intern.

Prior to their work in the education and arts sectors, Eric worked in the retail industry as a Skincare Consultant at SEPHORA, a Part-Time Assistant Manager at The Body Shop, and a Keyholder at LUSH FRESH HANDMADE COSMETICS North America.

Eric Orosco began their education at the University of Idaho in 2013, where they pursued a degree in General Studies with a focus on Creative Writing. Eric attended the University of Idaho for two years, completing their studies in 2015.

In 2016, Eric transferred to the University of the Pacific, where they embarked on a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature/Letters. Eric dedicated two years to their studies at the University of the Pacific, and in 2018, they successfully graduated with their bachelor's degree.

Continuing their academic journey, Eric Orosco enrolled at the University of the Pacific for a second time in 2021. Eric is currently pursuing a Master of Arts (MA) degree with a concentration in Leadership, specifically focusing on Organizational Learning and Effectiveness. This program is expected to be completed in 2023.
