Venkat Akkineni

Venkat Akkineni has extensive experience spanning several decades across various leadership roles in the film and media, manufacturing, and health sectors. Currently, Venkat serves as a Board Member and Advisor at Annapurna College of Film and Media since January 2011 and as Managing Director at Alufluoride Ltd since June 2007, a company specializing in aluminium fluoride production. Additionally, Venkat is a Partner at Akkineni Procare, distributing orthopaedic implants, and serves as Chairman of Annapurna Studios Private Limited, a prominent service provider in live-action filmmaking that has produced over 25 films. Venkat has been involved with the Foundation for Democratic Reforms as a Board Member since April 1998, focusing on media campaigns. Venkat's earlier role as Managing Partner at Annapurna Studios - India from September 1977 to July 2002 also contributed to a significant body of work in motion picture production. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Loyola College, Chennai.
