Denise King

Denise King joins the staff of NJPSA after 30 years as a Teacher, Assistant Principal and , for the last 16 years as Principal at B. Bernice Young School in Burlington Township. Denise received her B.A. in English from Rutgers University, a M. Ed from Cheyney University and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova University. Her professional associations include: NJPSA, NAESP, NASSP, NJEA, NEA, and ASCD. Denise served as a Board member at NJPSA and also as the President of the Burlington County PSA. Her awards include: NJPSA Visionary Leader - Elementary Principal, NAESP Distinguished Visionary Elementary Principal, and the NJ Department of Education Visionary Elementary Principal. Her community activities include serving on the Board of the YMCA Youth Advisory Board and the BCIT Foundation. She was awarded the Phi Beta Sigma Distinguished Educational and Community Service Award in 2017.
