Dr. Louise M. Perkins is a veteran cancer research professional who has served in leadership positions at some of the world's top pharmaceutical companies and research organizations. Louise is currently the President of the Board of Directors at the Foundation For Sarcoidosis Research, and they previously served as the Chief Science Officer at the Melanoma Research Alliance from 2013 to 2019. Prior to that, they were the Chief Scientific Officer at the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation from 2007 to 2012, and they also served as a Director of Cancer Research at Bayer Pharmaceuticals from 1998 to 2007. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Tumor Biology/Oncology researcher at the Schering-Plough Research Institute from 1990 to 1997. In addition to their work in the private sector, Dr. Perkins has also served on the board of the Health Research Alliance from 2016 to 2018 and as the Chair of the CT Unit Advisory Council at RFB&D New Haven Recording Studio from 2006 to 2009. Louise is currently an independent oncology research professional.
Louise M. Perkins has a BS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Zoology and a PhD from the University of Michigan in Biological Chemistry.
