Christopher Smith

Christopher Smith has a strong background in technology and operations. Christopher started their career in 1995 as a System Administrator at Netmarket Group Inc. Christopher then worked as a Senior System Engineer at TradeOut.com from 1999 to 2001. After that, they joined Upromise as a Principal Systems Engineer and later became a Manager in Data Storage Operations, working there until 2011. Christopher then moved on to SavingStar, Inc. as a Manager in Backoffice Operations. In 2013, they joined Rapid7 as a Senior Engineer in Cloud Operations and Reliability Engineering. Christopher worked at Kronos as a Principal DevOps Engineer from 2014 to 2016 and then joined Circle as a DevOps Lead. Currently, they are working at Foundation Medicine, starting as a Lead Devops Engineer and transitioning to roles including Technology Compliance Lead and Manager of Technology Compliance. Most recently, they have been serving as the Associate Director of Information Security.

Christopher Smith attended Northeastern University from 1995 to 1999, where they studied Computer Science and Geology. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2022 and Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge v.4 from Cloud Security Alliance in 2019.
