Katy Wong

Katy Wong is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the medical and scientific fields. Currently serving as Senior Director of the Medical Field Team for the West and Central regions at Foundation Medicine since September 2019, Katy has held multiple roles including Director of Field Medical and Senior Medical Science Liaison. Prior experience includes a tenure at AstraZeneca as a Senior Medical Science Liaison from March 2015 to September 2019. Katy also contributed to research as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Tufts Medical Center and completed a PhD in Pharmacology and Cell Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where Katy also worked as a Teaching Assistant in Receptor Pharmacology and Cell Signaling. Additional training in quantitative fluorescence microscopy was gained at Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory.
