Rob Lasko

Principal Software Engineer at Foundation Medicine

Rob Lasko has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Rob started their career as an Intern at Cendant Mobility in 1998 before moving on to work as a Consultant at Accucom Consulting, Inc. from 1999 to 2002, where they provided network and PC administration services.

In 2002, Lasko joined Sikorsky Aircraft as a Senior Flight Control Systems Engineer, where they played a key role in the development, simulation, integration, and testing of the S-92F Flight Control System and Flight Director software. Rob also designed the first Fly-by-Wire integration test stand for the S-92F FCS, which became the foundation for other helicopter labs.

From 2009 to 2012, Lasko worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at Raytheon Technologies, where they contributed to various projects in the defense industry. Rob then joined TEKsystems as a Senior Software Engineer and was subcontracted by Intel Corporation, where they worked on software development from 2012 to 2013.

Lasko's most recent role is as a Principal Software Engineer at Foundation Medicine, which they have held since 2014. Overall, their work experience showcases a strong background in software engineering and systems development in both the aerospace and technology sectors.

Rob Lasko obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they studied from 1997 to 2002. Rob then pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, from 2003 to 2007. Prior to attending university, they completed their high school education at Wilton HS from 1993 to 1997.
