Winnie Swan

Winnie Swan is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and compliance, currently serving as the Senior Vice President, Secretary, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer at Foundation Medicine since May 2019. In this role, Winnie oversees a team of 25 legal professionals and manages all legal activities for the company, including governance, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic collaborations. Prior to Foundation Medicine, Winnie held similar senior roles at NxStage Medical, Inc., where involvement in a significant $2 billion merger with Fresenius Medical Care was a key achievement, and at Boston Scientific, providing legal support during a period of rapid growth. Winnie began a legal career as an associate at Goodwin, after starting as a financial analyst at Merrill Lynch. Educational qualifications include a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and a BA in Economics and Public Policy from Duke University.
