Mamta Patel

Mamta Patel serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors at Lochbroom and Ullapool Community Trust Ltd, actively working to enhance the economic and social prospects of the community. Additionally, Patel holds the position of Director at Ulluminate CIC, which organizes a community festival celebrating science, arts, and culture. As Chair of the Board of Trustees for CHEM Trust, Patel contributes to efforts preventing chemical-related harm to health and the environment. Other roles include being a Board Trustee at Foundation Scotland and a former member of the B Lab UK Regional Standards Advisory Group. Patel's previous experience encompasses co-founding Chemical Watch, and serving as a governor at Uckfield Community Technology College and Wallands Community Primary School. Educational qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Applied Chemistry and a Postgraduate Diploma in Periodical Journalism with a specialization in science journalism.
